Transformative actress Nika King mesmerizes audiences with her breakout performance opposite Zendaya and Storm Reid in the gritty new HBO drama series "Euphoria," (airing on Sunday's at 10pm on HBO), and executive produced by Drake and written by Sam Levinson (Assassination Nation). King stars as Rue (Zendaya) and Gia's (Storm Reid) tough and determined mother 'Leslie' trying to guide her troubled daughters through the dark and twisted perils of love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media. The ensemble cast also includes Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi (Kissing Booth), Maude Apatow ("Girls"), Sydney Sweeney ("Sharp Objects"), and Algee Smith (The Hate U Give).Â
Born and raised in Miami, King has always had a clear passion for performing, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance and a minor in African Studies from the University of Florida. Immediately following graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and began working with well-known sketch comedy groups including OPM, Cleo's Apartment, EDF3, and started booking numerous roles on popular television series "Hannah Montana," "Greenleaf," "2 Broke Girls," "NCIS: Los Angeles," and "Wild 'n Out," to name a few.
When she is not working on her craft, King devotes her time to My Friend's House Foundation, an organization that provides life-sustaining staples including food, clothing, toiletries and encouragement to the homeless and disadvantaged in Los Angeles. She also enjoys working out, traveling, and experimenting in the kitchen creating different vegan meal options for her friends and family.
